Thanks and a question...

you. I'm afraid you've taken part in creating a monster - this henna
stuff is addictive! I stumbled upon this site a few days ago when I
was trying to figure out why the little henna kit (a book and a tube
of paste) that my husband had given me would'nt work. Some of you on
the board rec'd making my own henna paste, which led to droolong over
all of the stunningly beautiful photos on CCJ's site, this site, and
a few others from the links page, which led to running out and buying
henna powder and trying my design again, which led to...sigh.
Beautiful. (and I finally have a use for that garment steamer!)
The henna I used (recipe from this site) left a good solid cinnamon-
brown stain, but I'm dying to get a darker, redder one next time.
I love the photos I've seen of designs done with Kimia, Jamila and
Castle Art henna. Is there a very significant difference between the
three? Has anyone ordered or used henna powder from Mehendi Madness
in Seattle? I live about 5 minutes away from MM, so it would be more
convenient to buy there than to order by mail (though not less
expensive), but I just wondered if anyone had any feedback.
Thanks so much! -nonn
