The powders that had virtually no leaf scrap or debris sucked up far
more liquid than those which had higher quantities of scrap and debris
and included grit. The fine pulp seems to absorb and hold a lot of
water. Grit, of course, isn't going to soak up much liquid.
Based on 1 tsp or 5 ml volume of henna powder:
5ml liquid brought Shelly to a perfect stirred up yoghurt texture.
Jamila and Kenzi needed 10 ml liquid to get them to the same texture.
Jani needed still more.
This is based on very small measurements and I'm not certain the
ratios would still be correct after an overnight soak (sometimes more
liquid is needed the next morning) and I'm not certain if I'd see
something different in greater volume. I'd get a more accurate
measurement in larger volume.
