Hi Catherine...cool find!
It's a pisser to find the powder one expects much from to be dye
laden and gritty, that's for sure. And it would be easy to conclude
we are getting 'taken' by shippers in India. But I wonder if it's
closer to the truth that the prices buyers are willing to pay are so
ridiculously low, that to pay the bills and eat they bulk out their
henna, and waste none by making even old henna look green. Not to
downplay dissappointment in poor quality henna of course. And I also
wonder if the answer really lies in strict enforcement of rules.
Maybe dealing with the 'why do these suppliers find it necessary',
addressing that instead, would ease the situation. It's what I am
slowly tring to do. Thanks for your post. Your writings always make
me think.
