I just wanted to share with the forum the henna I did to celebrate my
1 year wedding anniversary. It was done with me using Kimia and my
first cone experience(I cut a square from a proscuittio package lol).

The flowers on the fingers are Iranian from 16th century, where Kimia
is from. The flowers across my knuckles are pinks, symbolising
marriage. The center band is a bear and a bunny, my husband and I's
nicknames for each other with the center being arabic
calligraphy 'hub' - love. The flower on the bottom trailing along up
my thumb is just an islamic flower design I liked from the 15th
century. Almost all of the design inspiration came from my CCJ books.

The pic looks darker than the design actually was by a few shades
darker & redder. I used autofix in photoshop and it came out this
way. Maureen saw the pics I did with my webcam which were horribly
fuzzy, at least this shows the details alot better! Hope you folks
like it.

Also a side note for Nonn if she reads this - I am also in the
Seattle area and if you would like I can spare some Kimia for you to
try out as well as having some Jamila on the way soon. I'm a newbie
too but I'd love to have someone local to talk to about henna and
maybe swap art on each other*smiles*
