but that's pretty much the only good thing that happened all weekend.
We do the whole RV/tailgating thing on campus so I usually do a few
sorority 'bow heads' for my consession stand money but I didn't even
bother this weekend. I knew it just wouldn't be worth it. The week
had been skidding downhill since about Tuesday when we had one of
those lovely parent/teacher conferences and found out that our
youngest darling had been doing absolutely nothing for the past 7
weeks and the teacher just now saw fit to tell us.
I locked myself in my sewing room Wed. and Thur. and did a lot of
quilting. Friday, I spent most of the day taking it out because I had
sewn it all wrong.
Saturday it was raining all day which meant that the only 'bow heads'
who were out and about were the one's who were too drunk to care how
soaked they were. So Rob, the kids and I got one drink to share for
the whole game. And of course, it was a televised game. On ESPN.
For those who aren't sports nuts, games on ESPN tend to have *very*
long commercial breaks which means the games last a *lot* longer than
the one's on PPV or even regular networks.
Sunday I thought I'd do some henna on myself after I finished the
laundry. No such luck. The dryer decided that this would be a great
time to go nutty with it's temperature settings. The only cycle that
would heat up was the low heat one and it over heated. So I ended up
having to hang everything. What fun. Drying off with a towel that
has had to be line dried is not a comforting experience. I didn't
even bother thawing out a cone because by the time I finally got all
the laundry done I was just too tired and went to bed.
I should have known what was up with all the mechanical problems I had
been having. I think it would have been a better weekend if I'd just
locked myself in my bedroom until it was all over.
