As I understand them, my protocols for removing posts are:
1) I am empowered to remove posts that are blatently obscene,
pandering or grossly inappropriate
2) I am empowered to remove posts that are clearly offtopic commercial
spam
3) I am empowered to remove offensive troll posts
4) I am empowered to remove excessive multiples
5) I am empowered to remove occasional "judgement calls" of
questionable material

I remove trolls, spam, offensive material, obscentity, and accidental
multiples frequently. Sometimes I'll use my own judgement in removing
something that could become a problem for the person who posts or for
the for the forum in general.
These posts stayed because it seemed useful to inform the forum that
the "rave reviews" were from a single source, casting doubt on their
authenticity, should someone wish to spend money on that product.
