: Good job! And thanks for leaving it there and explaining why!
: Obviously they picked the right person for the job! : - )
: Umm.....what's an "offensive troll posts"??
: *Blush* I have no idea!!!!!!!! <----feeling kinda slow!

I've felt it was important that this forum appear to be completely
free and unmoderated, so I only delurk if its absolutely crucial.
People have to feel comfortable posting here. If forum regulars felt
there was a heavy hand about to descend, some of the most enjoyable
free discussions might not take place. I rarely intervene in the
firefights because they are some of the most illuminating moments.
However .... the internet being what it is, Trolls will come through
and make rude, stupid, insulting obscent posts. There have been days
when I put HOURS into cleaning up prolonged and persistant troll
attacks. Unscrupulous spammers will post get rich quick schemes.
Sometimes I just tidy up a person's inadvertant multiples.

I don't take away every imperfect post, because I believe its
important for the forum to appear "natural". However, the wilderness
needs care, and the internet IS a wilderness. Very few forums are set
up such that people can simply come in and post without registering
and getting passwords. This invites problems, but encourages freedom.
I'm willing to watchdog the forum's freedom and clean up the problems
for the sake of helping henna and its enthusiasts.

Yours very truely, Marguerite Johnson.
