I generally wear a black ir indian print skirt and top, with some
ethnic jewelry and a scarf around my hips and sometimes one around my
hair. (My favorite skirt is a plain black indian cotton one from the
thrift store - $3 and the henna washes out quite easily!) I confess
that I like the "exotic" image; when I first started belly dancing (I
do that professionally too) another dancer told me to always look
slightly exotic when dealing with potential clients - it certainly
helps! People tend to be influenced by looks, whether they admit it
or not.

As Nick says, Tribalmax is cool - some of their prices are good,
others are quite high (I collect kuchi jewelry and textiles.) Try
ebay! If you search for "kuchi" you can sometimes find some great
stuff at incredible prices (and tribalmax does list stuff there, you
can get some things a bit cheaper that way).

Zimra, who needs a 12-step program for ebay addiction!
