Rangoli don't have to be huge. Most of them are very small, just a
little physical prayer drawn by one person to negotiate with the gods
for one more day of sustinence on earth. Just a few lines, flowers,
candles, does the job.
Here are some simple to complex Kerala style rangoli free for you.
You can make these *small*, and fill them with chrysanthemum petals or
potourri (finally, something INTERESTING to do with the crunchy
fragrant stuff that you got at the office last gift exchange!) Do them
in your driveway with chalk (worry the neighbors). Do them in cracked
corn and seeds for the birdies. You can make pages of dots for your
kids (0r students) to connect and color. Have fun!
