Your basic recipe is to start with fresh henna, add lemon juice until
it's all wet, seal, wait until you have dye release, and add more
lemon juice until you get the consistency you need. How much juice
depends on the individual paste.
It would of course depend on the design, but it's probably impossible
to mix up enough for just 2 or 3 designs. For example, 10 grams of
powder gives me 35 or so grams of paste, which is enough for 20-25
designs of medium complexity and size.
Check out the recipe on my site, especially the Mad Scientist mix.
With this mix, you can make up a big batch and freeze it for use even
months later.
