Frustarted with this mail-order thing

I sell on Ebay as well as through my website, and yet again,
someone's payment has been lost in the mail. Or so I am told. It
was sent regular mail. They tell me they checked and it has not been
cashed. Now they are getting frustrated about not receiving the
package they paid for. This happened once before and I let myself
get talked into sending out a package I never did receive the money
for. I should think it's clear by he fact that the money order is
not cashed that I have not received it, and I don't think it's
reasonable to keep sending out stuff with no payment in the hopes
that it will eventually arrive. There's got to be a middle ground.
If it's lost in the mail, it is hardly my fault. I've asked the
person to send another money order, saying I'd return the first one
uncashed if it ever arrives (it's been almost a month since the first
one) and they refused, saying they already did their part of the
bargain. I think that was reasonable, especially since they can get
their money back from the first, uncashed one. I know I've posted
about similar stuff here before, I'm just venting, I guess. If you
were an Ebay buyer, what would you expect to happen in this situation?
