Touch your nose or neck. That's glossy skin and is not keratinized
from abrasion. Touch your elbow or knee, or the hand of someone who
does farm work, auto mechanics or other labor that abrades the hand.
That's apt to be more granular. It will feel dry and rough rather than
smooth and glassy. Some people have a mix of both on their hands. I
do. The henna stays superdark on the thicker, dryer areas and loses
color faster on the thin glossy areas.
