I think we have two phenomena here, perhaps three ... and they all DO
effect henna.

Yes, there are periodic sheds or moults. I suspect that's what we see
when we have fast demise around a menstrual cycle, and perhaps some
other phenomena around miscarriage, pregnancy and childbirth.

Blowing coat ... that's my word I picked up at Dog and Cat shows ..
and it's a coat dump that's not part of a seasonal adjustment .. and
it does come with stress. I tend to blow coat during finals and when
traveling (no sleep, dodgy nutrition)


Then .... From a chat I had with a cosmetologist, she said we grow
skin cells faster in warm weather and slower in the winter, like tree
rings. I don't think I can remember a truely great stain in deep
winter, and all my best ones are in the summer months. Maybe my skin
regeneration is not happening in the winter?
