Alex Morgan taught me what little I know.
Get at least 3 sources of light if you're using incandescent and use a
blue filter. Natural light, shadowless bright light on a hazy day is
best, but is not always convenient. Florescent totally sucks.
More light is better.
If you have a dark spot, get some shiny white cardboard and bounce
light into it. If you have a overbright spot, from a light source,
throw a bit of thin white silk cloth over it to soften the light.
This is a recent shot from my current fav place to shoot. It's on the
west outside wall of my house, over the mailbox, and I shoot about 12
noon. The light is very bright, and I'm shooting into shadowfree
bright shadow. I shoot against black velvet or some other plain color
. I flatten out body parts so the depth of field is minimized.
I really don't know all that much ...... Alex is far better.
