This is going to be a bitch to organize...
I would come, and teach a class or 2, provided it were in Boston...
Springfield's far away, and there's nothing there anyways.
But Boston's not cheap... i don't know where you'd find suitable room
and board for people at modest price.

: I want to start a New England Henna Conference. I know a few
people
: who are in the general area but I keep hearing of more. How do I
: contact the people who aren't on this Forum? Also, will anyone on
: this Forum who would come to a conference please email me so we can
: start planning. I'm thinking Springfield, MA, is a good contral-
ish
: location, or possibly Boston but that makes it less easy for me to
: plan.
: I'm thinking of basic classes all one day on a weekend for the
: general public to attend, that would help pay the teachers for
their
: part of the conference. The other day would be advanced and
: alternative technique classes for pros. There would be planty of
: opportunity to schmooze and henna each other as well as to sell
: stuff. There's an inexpensive Lebanese restaurant with pretty much
: the best dancer I've ever seen on Saturday nights, and a little
: interesting shopping locally, too. We could have a henna party one
: evening and invite the public, again to help defray the attendee's
: costs.
: There are so many talented people in tis area! If I learn half
again
: as much and get half again as much better as I did after Serious
NYC,
: it will be simply awesome!
: If the first year goes well, we could make it an annual event and
: invite special guests to teach. I'd love to get CCJ maybe in 2004,
: or Erfan maybe.
: Anyway, if you want to be in on the planning, or if you think you
: might come, please let me know so I can look into what size place
: we'd need.
: Thanks!
: Lauren
