Well. if you mix Chuna( Calcuim Hydroxide Ca(OH)2 also known as lime)
in Mehndi you mehndi will never give you dark color even you have
good quality Mehndi Powder. If you apply Chuna after brushing off
applied Mehndi paste. Color will turn dark but it will not have the
brightness of color and also Mehndi color will fade away soon. I have
done this test personally. So any one does it please be aware of all
the facts. ** the above is printed in my book too.
Good Luck.
: Hi Erfan,
:
: This is just gorgeous. Actually, it is exquisite....both the
design
: and your rendering of it.
:
: I am a lover and all time fan of Navaid's henna powders. Any you
are
: right about how the color goes to the dark browns and blacks. What
: is chuna that allows it to change the color so dramatically? Anyone
: familiar with Navaids powders will know that his is very different
in
: color than the picture and so it appears that chuna can make a
henna
: powder more varied in color range than I would have imagined.
:
: So what exactly is chuna?
