when people say "a woman should be independant and strong, but make
sure you're pretty while you do it." Blech! I think that if more
girls who happen to not go for the "girly stuff" (like me) had had
someone like you to tell them "its ok you want to wear something
other than that cutesy, frilly dress" a lot of girls would have been
saved a lot of grief over their body images. Theres a difference
between being feminine and being a clone of a magazine ad. Personally
I think the henna all over my hand is more feminine than three layers
of mascara and a little black dress. Thats because I know that this
is a woman's art thats been around for thousands of years and will
last forever. But thats just my view on things.
