I got a list of questions from a local reporter who wants to do a
story on henna and henna artists. Here are a few of the questions
that might make an interesting conversation here:

--Any experiences with bad henna?
I got bad henna once from another henna artist -- it smelled like
turpentine, burned my skin when I put it on, so I rinsed it off
quickly, but it still left a blister in the shape of my design on the
back of my hand...when I asked the henna person about it, she said
she thought that was the way henna was supposed to work...that's when
I started making my own paste!!!

--What's your best memory of applying henna?
There are so many! Brides who were ready for a moment's peace before
the wedding...a cancer patient who wanted a little courage before
surgery...the 50 year old woman who wanted to shock her mother
(proving that you're never too old to disobey your mother...)

--Your worst?
Doing really drunk people at a party.

--Funniest?
A 13 year old boy wanted a Mother Goddess fertility figure on his
bicep; it's usually a pattern chosen by 50ish women going through
life change issues...
