Since I've looked at so many samples .. I'm fairly confident that it's
not possible to "clean" the dye (or myrolaban) out of a sample. The
"below naked eye level" and dispersal makes that improbable. So ... a
supplier's sample seems fine for checking those two aspects. Sifting
is another issue .... anyone can specially sift a sample to send me.
And ... that's a problem for people who are concerned with sift.

I'll test anything that falls in my hands. Can we agree that if a
supplier sends me a sample, I can say "supplied by X as representative
of their x inventory on x day"? Then ... if ..... somone gets
something from x supplier from x inventory that seems to be radically
different .... they can send some to me and then there be a discussion.


My interest is in testing the widest possible number of hennas to
build a useful database for understanding consistancy, effect of
geography and rainfall, marketing pressures, ethnic preference ....
etc etc.

I'll test henna free.
