I know I spelled that wrong but I'm short on sleep today -

I think an important part to remember about plant and using plant
based materials is there are thousands of active chemicals. This
still holds true to essentail oils allthough to a much lesser degree.
It stands to reason that it may not just be one specific monoterpine.
Furthermore tea tree and cajeput are MUCH safer to use than ANY
citrus oil. Expeller pressed citrus oil is still phototoxic - how do
I know? I reacieved my own personal reaction (and I'm not all that
sensitive when it comes to e-oil) and have heard MANY more. I'll run
it by Mindy Green in class next week and see what she says.

We had a phto pharmacoligist/herbalist come thru school this spring.
(Robin Klien) Her theory is that the e-oils render henna lipid
soluble and thus drive more into our skin. I think CJC had more to
say on that (I'd have to look it up) If Robins theory is correct than
most essential oils will have a darkening effect on henna stains.

Has there been sided to side comparsions of different e-oils used?
Hmmm, is that an aromatheraputic serious henna confrence test I smell?

Just my young herbie, sleep deprived thoughts, Lelia
