The best way to avoid PPD dyes in clothing is to avoid black clothing,
in cotton, leather ...anything. Other dark colors might cause a
problem ... but black seems to be the most likely to set off reactions.

An allergist who knows PPD sensitivity throughly is person to contact.
I've had soooooooooo many letters from people who were sensitized to
PPD either from hair dye or PPDBH and ... their lives have just been a
misery since. Exactly that set of symptoms, and this sensitization IS
life threatening, as well as godawful inconvenient. Spending a
lifetime reading every last label in fear of a bout of misery is grim
... and so unnecessary.

Link below (probably everyone should print this out and have for
reference!!) to everything a person will have to avoid if they are
sensitized to PPD.
