the bathroom cleaner aroma of Tea Tree. Though, since essential oils
do evaporate I'm not sure how well the scent would stay just wiped
on. Also, remember that most every essential oil should be diluted
before being neat applied to skin. The rare exceptions are Tea Tree,
Lavender, Sandalwood and Rose.
I'm not so sure the 'terpene' nature of an oil can be smelled- is
that what you were saying? I mean, there are literally hundreds of
constituents in an oil, I'm not so sure that one can distinguish any
of the various forms of the alcohol terpene we're talking about for
henna. Terpene, is, like monoterpene a generic descriptive. It's
alpha-terpineols, terpin-4-ols and such that we're looking at and I
didn't think/know those could be smell distinguished. That's
I would think you could add whatever essential that had a scene
someone liked AS LONG AS it is an oil that has not demonstrated any
strong adverse affects. Like citrus, pine, et cetera. But, you are
right, the nose is funny in what is liked by whom!
