As far as I've been able to translate French texts on women's henna
(maquillage) in Mauritania, Somalia, Algeria ... black women henna
their hair, and enjoy the results.

Gwyn is half black. May I assume that counts for this purpose? Gwyn
doesn't henna for color, but she does use shampoos with henna. And she
rarely if ever straightens. This is the Fabulous Gwyn and her hair.
Looks to me as though the henna in the shampoos isn't doing it any
harm. She says her hair has it's own zip code, driver's license, a
major credit card and is fluent in a foreign language.
