: (shes my most willing mehndi canvas). She said she had tried it once
: and it made her hair brittle and.

Here's where it gets interesting. I know from some recent emails that
there are things marked henna for hair that are just solutions of PPD
with a "natural" label. I know henna and straighteners are a rotten
combo. Tell me more about WHAT product she used, and WHEN she used
it, and what other products she was using 6 months prior.

I can't think of any reason why henna should be bad on crimpy hair and
good on straight or wavy hair. Chemically, that just doesn't make any
sense. It's all just keratin. Something else has to be operative.
Shampoos, mooses, straightners, ratters( for dreads), dyes, ......
what? I would expect that something in that henna product is other
than henna ... OR .... there's something else she's using.

Mind ... if my husband (black) would bloody cooperate, I could figure
this out pronto .. but ....... noooooooooooo, not willing to be a
guinea pig. Gee whiz.
