That is such an unwelcome situation, I'm so sorry to hear about your
situation.
Out in California this past week was just about the last weekend for
any festivals until mid-late spring. It gets way too cold in the
Northern Part of the state to do anything outside and us in the
Southern Half seem to just take a break. The weather becomes very
finicky, sunny one day, cold the next, organizers just don't take a
chance with the weather in the winter.
What about Mexico, the port cities where cruise ships dock. Probably
not a viable solution at all but wouldn't it be fun to spend the
winter in Mexico, hangin on the beach, doing henna for mid-westerners
who made a break from the snow?!
Good luck finding a solution
Jessica

: Well. Today my husband gets into work and finds out that the
smaller
: half of his usual route (he's a courier) has been assigned to
someone
: else. This reduces our income by like 40%, which cuts out things
: like food and laundry. Not so good.
: We've been talking for quite a while about going on family
walkabout
: and following the event/Renn Faire circuit around the country. If
we
: made the sort of money we've been making here, we wouldn't get food
: or laundry that way, either, but it sounds like the rest of the
: country is far more profitable. I understand most of the larger
: Faires have exclusive vendors, so we likely couldn't get into those
: by ourselves, but I'm perfectly happy to work under someone else's
: aegis.
: So, I guess I'm just looking for work. Have henna, will travel!
: Lauren
