As an Ebay seller and owner of a merchant account, I can't see any
reason for a seller doing this. 1.5% of $10 plus 1.5% of $15 is the
same fee foe them as 1.5% of $25, so they're not getting charged more
for a buyer paying separately for every item. I do try to stuff all
the things in one box and charge for shipping only once, but that's
merely logistics. It would take some attention to make sure that all
the items get sent together if paid for separately, but I don't see
that as a big problem worthy of a separate charge. I can see if
you're doing a lot of business that you might need to ship separately
all items paid for separately and charge the appropriate shipping
costs. Unpleasant but quite possibly necessary.
