If you can find an experienced tattoo artist, they will often be able
to cover the entire tattoo with a brand new image, obscuring it
completely, and not making a mess of his arm. Tell him to go to a
really reputable tattoo shop, and they should be able to help him
out. And this time don't get a name! ;-)

: A friend of mine has a tattoo of his wife's name in a 'ribbon' over
a
: rose on his forearm. Well, his soon-to-be EX-wife. I was thinking
: of offering to henna over the name to hopefully 'obscure' it
: somehow. Do you think that would work? I don't want to see him
: going off and doing a permanent over it and make a mess of his
arm.
: This would at least be temporary.
