If I do "unbound", then people have the option of buying plastic
sleeves, 3-hole punching, or taking it to Kinko's or to their
workplace and spiral or comb-binding it themselves. That costs about
$4. That's a big gain for artists.
The downside is that unbound makes pirating easy, and that's a big
loss for authors.
I think I'll have to let each author make that judgement themselves.
Theoretically, a person could buy one set of pages, and print out 20
books ... and the author would only get the royalties once, so I have
to allow the author the right to make that decision on whether to risk
losing his/her money. That's the same problem as is besetting CD's and
the music industry.
