I thought you might be interrested in the results we got. Your
website was very helpful.

After doing a few strand tests with pure indigo and henna, we decided
to prepare a mixture of both in the hope it would produce a dark
brown.

My wife applied to her hair the following mixture that I prepared for
her (I studied biochemistry, so she let me have some fun by creating
the recipe):

henna (85 g), indigo (70 g), two cups of very strong black coffee, a
spoonful (or two) of olive oil, about 3 spoonfuls of lemon juice (the
concentrated kind in the plastic lemon-shapped bottle), and an egg
white.

We kept the hair warm under a microwavable heating pad that we'd
reheat every 15 minutes. After an hour, we rinsed her hair and
conditionned it.

The results were amazing! Her hair came out a very deep brown,
almost black, with beautiful reddish highlights (it's now very close
to her natural hair colour).

I haven't seen her hair this shiny and healthy in a long time. It
had been damaged by the dye she had used and a perm she got two
months ago (she had tried to get a lighter colour of hair, but
because she's Asian, I guess her hair is too thick and dark to be
dyed or permed safely).

Thanks again for the help.
