travelling with henna

ok, so, in less than two weeks I'm going to Austria, and naturally
will be hanging out with (and staying with!) the fabulous Erfan. Of
course I am going to bring him some henna powder, but I also want to
mix henna and bring a jar so we're ready to draw on each other the
first day I'm there.
My question is this; I usually use a glass jar. I can probably
package it so that it doesn't break, but what about explosion?
Also, do people think with "heightened security measures" that this
will be OK? I will have books, etc. with me, but I'm going to keep
all the henna itself in my checked, not carryon, luggage.
Advice? Thoughts?
