Nothing wrong with people like that or with kids, but what usually ends up happening with those $5 designs is that they get smeared and I end up doing them over. Kids who can't afford $10 are often younger and thus less likely to understand your warnings about smearing (and they are also harder to turn away when they ask for a redo!). The ones who are doing it because they have nothing to do tend to not value it because it's so cheap and thus, smear it. That's my perspective based on many a street fair. Hope it helps!
