Re: My booth tart is my Mom, she rocks!Posted by jessica on May 1, 2003 at 19:18:14: In reply to: My booth tart is my sister posted by Lelia on April 30, 2003 at 17:56:12: We usually kick down 10-20 percent for each girl working to the boothb*itch/manager/supervisor. Usually it is actually my mom who does the same exact job to a tee as your sister but I have a girlfriend who is great as well. On weekends when it is busy enough to demand a separate person to run the booth we pull one of them in to help filter out the crazies, and get people through qickly and orderly. It is not possible to do this without the help of these wonderful always smiling, quoting the same thing all day ladies. They tend to make about 15-20 percent less than each henna girl for the day. We are still working this kind of stuff out. It can depend on the event, if it sucks, it sucks for everyone, if its great, everyone makes money. bottom line is henna girls tip out to the booth girl! they ROCK! Jessica : I do a 40/60 split with her (shes the 40), after overhead. Shes worth : every penny and works just as hard as I do (I think yelling over a : crowd the same thing over and over is just as hard as slinging the : same kanji symbol for "love" all day;). : : She takes really good care of me. She reminds me to drink water, eat, : breath, strech, she explains aftercare, takes money, knows the black : henna rant as well as I, slows people down, tries to talk people out : of lower back and belly designs, has them ask mommy, sign waivers, : and tell's the tough chick with the faded barbwire tattoo around her : ankle that "henna is real too." Furthermore she refills cones, seals : people up and holds the fort if I need a break to use the restroom. : Shes a gem and I love her for it. : : If it wasn't for her I wouldn't make it thru gigs. : : I think it boils down to their worth. : Lelia
