: Make a batch of terped paste from 100 gms powder + some extra powder
: just in case, rolled into cones

Unless you're selling it, don't bother with the powder. You wouldn't
have time to mix it and have it ready same-day. I wouldn't think
you'd need that much paste, either. 100 grams powder makes 325-375
grams of paste. I think I may have used 50 grams a day, but then I
tend to do smaller events than most.

: I use a plastic travel toothpick for corrections(neat little find
in a
: gas station, bought 4 lol),LS & cotton balls,baby wipes

Toothpicks are key! I like the flat-end wooden ones. I'd skip the
LS and cotton balls. A good terped mix won't need them, and it's one
less thing to fuss with. Instead of baby wipes, try alcohol wipes.

: I found a neat tool/craft caddy called Durapro Rockbox at a garage
: sale brand new, has a built in radio on the front

Cool! You may want to consider a CD player and getting some theme
CDs. Right now I use Satya by Solace, or Fifty Gates of Wisdom by
Ofra Haza. Both are ethnic and exotic without being too weird. They
really help set a mood.

: I have 6 binders(planning 3 design books of 2 ea) & a master book
(all
: designs for reference)

I have some eight or more books, all different. It helps when people
are looking for a specific type of design to be able to point them to
the right book.

: reciept book - does anyone use a cashbox? If not what do you use?

I never use receipts for this sort of event- takes too long. I do
have a cashbox that I sit underneath my bowl with my henna in it. It
locks but I never bother. I used to find that I got so wound up in
hennaing that I forgot whether or not someone paid. Solution? Now I
keep my aftercare sheets in my cash box and I give one out when I
make change. Then, if I forget, I can glance around and if I see a
sheet, I know they've paid, or if I don't see one, I can ask about
whether I gave them the sheet rather than whether they paid. It
seems sorta crass to have to ask about money.

: I'm going out with my husband tomorrow to get a table and 3 camp
: chairs and a cot(for doing backs & tummy work). Anyone suggest a
table
: thats sturdy & portable?

Plastic tables are the way to go if you can afford them. Way lighter
and sturdier and they look good when a wood table is all sctatched up.
I wouldn't bother with a cot. Just have the person stand in front of
you. That way they won't mess it up when they stand.

: I have some cotton tapestries to hang and pillows I can bring for
: atmosphere. We will be on grass but eventually want some of the x-
pen
: mats CCJ recommends.

Wal-Mart or many discount stores will have large, cheap,
manufactured "oriental" rugs for cheap. They really add to the look
of the booth and will allow you to take off your shoes while you're
in the booth.

: I'll have black henna warning info available as well. The show is in
: Montana but never know where poisons going to show up or who it may
help.

Great idea!

: I'm contemplating the signed consent forms, any opinions?

I never bother.

: One main thing is what do you do for lighting when there's no ac/dc
: available?

We just bought small battery-operated lights that we can hang from
the roof. Haven't tried them yet but they're small and clean- no
burning Coleman smell.

: Can't think of anything else offhand, any imput will be appreicated!

A cooler with water or juice will save your life!

Good luck! lET US KNOW HOW IT GOES.
