Cultural habits and acclimations vary so much, even neighborhood to neighborhood within a walkable distance. I worked for Persian sisters for a while. They had a very creative way with reality which made it difficult to resolve issues and did many things that made it difficult to promote business (and handled some other things very well). When I spoke to them about it they became violently angry. Sadly, we had been friends for years. The "culture clash" came when I tried to work for them. Clients who had done business in Isreal and the middle-east told stories about how different the business philosphy was. What seemed to me to be practical was in conflict with their priorities (one of them being total and absolute control...but that's a different story). As Ashe pointed out, sometimes it's just "difference".
