What a trying experience! I am proud of you for trying, as so many
mothers do not do these days, to keep your children close to you. I
have been critisized many times for bringing my son with me
everywhere I went. As for the ADHD/ADD thing, I think it is just
another ploy to keep the "unruly population" under control. No
government really likes free thinkers. I believe that an active child
is showing great inteligence by exploring and challenging the world
around him/her. I'm also proud of you for knowing your limits, and
getting out of there instead of trying to stick it out and making
yourself the doormat of those shameful neighbors.
