: What a trying experience! I am proud of you for trying, as so many
: mothers do not do these days, to keep your children close to you.
I
: have been critisized many times for bringing my son with me
: everywhere I went.

Are you serious?!? People like that suck! I always get
complimented for spending so much time with my kids; I always get
told they're so well behaved when we're out. My 3 yo girl can't
keep her hands off of anything, so I don't get it. I think she
needs to be better behaved, but then again, I was raised to
be "perfectly behaved" and I don't expect that from my kids. It's
frustrating, but they're still *kids*...

...and then at 16 I started running around the Portland Metro area
with my head shaved (except for a scalplock and bangs) and causing
all kind of havoc at home.

Man, motherhood sure changes you. :) I think any parent, mom or
dad, who stays home with their kids is great. But I also think that
any parent who works to put clothes on their kids is great, too. :)
