Aside fro the bad examples of people being stupid and mean, he got a
good one- that his mama is on his side. That's valuable even if the
rest of the weekend sucked.
I didn't mean to sound unsympathetic in my reply. I know I couldn't
do events by myself with children and I intended to offer advice.
I'm thinking now that advice is fine but what you needed was less
that than an opporunity to vent and be told what you already know-
that you acted correctly and did the best you could under awful
circumsstances.
Here's to hoping that was the worst event of your life.
