...ears turning a faint shade of red...Posted by Ilithiya on July 14, 2003 at 12:07:13: In reply to: says *youch* spitting the foot out of her mouth posted by hannah on July 14, 2003 at 11:34:37: Umm... wow. I didn't think I'd offended you - you certainly didn'toffend me in the slightest!! <big hugs> :) I'm proud of her too; it's not easy trucking a three year old to an event 250 miles away, not to mention how hard the rest of it is sometimes! I was just trying to point out how different the reactions can be. Children need their parents; a lot of people don't understand that, like the person you mentioned that criticized you. That's not right; sometimes I think people like that don't have children and that's why they don't understand. Sure, I *could* work... but any money I made would go straight into daycare. The wage around here is low, and the cost of daycare is horrendous; it works out to no income for the other bills and time spent away from my kids. Since my family isn't any worse off for my not working, I choose to stay home with the kids. I'm proud of you too, especially for being courageous enough to not let those nasty people get you down. :) <big hugs again> Illy : I am proud of her, but I didn't mean to offend anyone. I am also : proud of women who have to work their asses off to support their : family. I'm sorry to have ruffled your feathers. It seems that : lately, no matter what I say, I offend someone, and I dislike doing : that so very much.
