: I totally understand where you're coming from....
: You don't want your designs to be compromised by some Booh Hoo big
: corporation who's going to mass market your designs.
: I think, and please excuse my passionate writing, that you are
: totally wrong. If you request to have your name on each copyrighted
: material made, ie stencil, you'll help through your designs bring
: henna & the art of menhdi to the mass population out there. Isn't
: this what we all want? Don't we all want everyone out there to be
: aware of henna and to use it once in a while?

But this person wanted previously copywrited material as well as only
'popular' designs without paying properly for it. You can buy
stencils already...they are just trying to take advantage from the
look of it. Not being directly involved, I could be reading this
wrong...but that's the gist I got from her postings.

Can't see where that's ethical.

Just my humble opinion from what I gathered.....I could be wrong tho.

: Don't do the mistake of all the henna artists in the past centuries
: that let it become dust until we've come to revive it!

But arent' we reviving it right now by utilizing technology (being
here for one example) and having an international information and
friendship space as well as reaching the 'man in the street' by doing
fairs, festivals and house parties? Many of us have been
interviewed by media as well to get the words/art out to the masses
too.

I'm not saying I totally disagree with you...maybe a comprimise could
be reached...but sometimes dealing with the devil gets you burned.

My opinion is worth what you paid for it. But it's mine.

XXXOOOOOO
