Buzzing again?Posted by Daniel on July 23, 2003 at 23:09:48: In reply to: Stealing is Bad. Ok? posted by Catherine Cartwright-Jones on July 23, 2003 at 15:01:55: Apparently you're not reading my post correctly. She needs to have a copyright usage agreement with that company. I'm not saying she should let them use her designs for free. I'm just saying that by not taking advantage of that, they'll look for someone else's designs and she would have lost the chance to have her designs shown to the world. She can make the agreement to the terms she wants, and demand the appropriate payment she desires. However, in my post, I'm trying to explain that it is stupid to retain creation, instead of plastering it everywhere. If IBM had not licensed other companies to make PCs, many people would not be able to use/buy one today. A person's property is a person's property...I agree. When you go over to some museum and copy a design from 5 centuries ago, then put your copyright onto it, is this really YOUR property? You always seem to buzz at me with no reason. Must I remind you that this is a freedom of opinion is a right. And that respect of the other's opinion is an obligation. Daniel
