I know it just sounds like a ridicules price for quality henna that
they couldn't get anywhere, but you have to understand where they
come from.

Henna is such a common thing in my culture (I¡¦m Bangladeshi) that
some people don't want to spend the money. They don't know all the
hard work we have put in our dedication to this art form and frankly
i don't think they care.

You have to remember that they think in terms of... "I can get
cousin so and so to do it for me". If they can get it done for free
why pay for it. I remember doing henna for this lady and her
daughter (reference from mom)... did three full Indian style hand
designs and only asked $30... she was huffing and puffing over
that!

This store owner is looking for profit and what will move from the
shelf instead of collecting dust. She probably knows that her
customers would not pay anymore then $2 for a henna cone¡K especially
when she can get lower quality henna for cheap.

Anyway... the whole point of my rambling was that don't get this
person make you doubt yourself. You know you probably could have
provided her with some amazing product. And she is too cheap to
realize what she is missing!

It¡¦s just funny that many of my aunts and family friends used to
think that a dark pumpkin orange was the best henna colour ever.
And they are so surprised by the results after I¡¦m done with them ƒº

God it¡¦s been ages that I¡¦ve posted¡K schools is keeping me very
busy. Hope everyone is doing well!

Take care and happy hennaing!

Shaon
