Perhaps it just depends on whos ear you have.
Once I went to a nearby piercing studio and inquired about the
possiblity of henna there,got about the same in response as the
reply you received.
Last Saturday I did henna for Infinity Tattoos 10 year anniversary
party. I have to say the crowd of tattooed pierced people were the
most appreciative and enthusiastic I have ever worked with. I was
given so much love. The men the women alike. They asked about the
history and it was a total blast to share with them.
I bet the Tattoo studio you work with is the same.
Its an interesting thing though why some bod mod people do seem to
discount it as valid and some love it.
I wonder if it has nothing to do with body decoration at all and
just with the group think. Like with any art -music for instance.
