This is very sad, and reveals him to be shallow and insecure (not tomention ignorant) person hiding behind a scary facade.
Body modification is deliberately rearranging one's body to achieve,
negate, rearrange experience. People experience the world through
their body, and the world experiences them through their appearance.
If you manipulate your body you change the way you experience the
world, and the world will experience you in new ways. THAT'S the
essence of body modification ... exploring the symbiosis of
changing/challenging/enhancing/negating your
body/experience/interactions through deliberate modification ... of
all sorts.
Bod Mod is NOT just putting on something scary and seeing how much
attention you can get or how much you can piss off people.
And ... shallow, insecure people definitely do NOT care to be
challenged!
BTW .. Nick, I like the way you think and write! You're GOOOOOOOOD!
