Need advicePosted by Jeanie on August 28, 2003 at 16:46:20: Hi everyone,I need some advice. I have an opportunity to have a henna "booth" (I use the term loosely) at an upcoming Indian Teeyan women's festival. An Indian friend of mine recommended me to the organizer of the event, and she contacted me. Here's the skinny: It's going to be from 1pm to 7pm at a local elementary school. I have absolutely no idea how many people are going to be there... but... it's at an elementary school. The organizer told me that last year they had one artist and the henna was so popular that many women weren't able to have any, so this year they want to have 5/6 booths. Yep, 5 or 6. At an elementary school. The booth fee would be $50. I think this would be a REALLY fun event to do henna at. But besides the obvious worry that 5 or 6 booths seems like way too many, I'm also WHITE. I think it's highly probable that people will pass up the white girl's booth in favor of someone closer to their own ethicity. So my question for all you wonderful, supportive henna people is: Do you think this would be worth it? Would you do it? Thanks so much!!! Jeanie
