By all means give them a ballpark figure on how long it will take you to do the designs, but charging hourly is more fair to both of you. If I say a design costs $60 because I estimate it would take an hour, then 60x4= 240 for just hands. If I charge hourly, it will actually take me more like 3 1/2 hours to do, and I charge for just that time. You will be asked for both kinds of quote, though. Lauren
