I find that the hourly rate works best for both parties. Usually the
hourly rate comes out about the same as the per design rate,
sometimes a little less, so it's best for the bride. And it's good
for you too because if they are paying you by the hour, they won't
screw around wasting time (yours!) and will let you get to work and
get out of there.
