if it rains...Posted by Willowhawk on September 5, 2003 at 10:34:44: In reply to: Buy the heavy duty type canopy! posted by Jessica on September 5, 2003 at 01:59:00: ...then you will want the EZ-UP brand. Here in Washington rain is a 'given'... lol. I have friends who have both Caravan and EZ-UP brands and the main difference seems to be the tautness of the roofing. The Caravan brand seems to have a pooling area for the rain and they need to 'burp' their roof every so often, while the EZ-UP seems to be tighter and the rain doesn't pool. Between the 3 of us who merchant many events together we all have different types of pop up tents. Theirs are all pyramid peak roofs while I have the sprint/express model from EZ-UP which has a slopped roof...with only 2 sides instead of 4. It's a 1/3 of the price in comparison to the crafter's EZ-UP and has withstood severe winds and rain. I don't use vinyl walls to surround my booth but cloth walls and those are staked down around the bottom of the tent for more stability also. Willowhawk
