Hoity toity they were, too ... the sort that have a $600 booth fee and
you'd barely make $500 on the weekend. I avoided that sort of show
like head lice. We have a lot of colonial and renfairs here (some of
whom forbid EZ ups), only a few art festivals (and lots of very hungry
artists) and its unusual for the festivals to not be on the grass ...
in '90 I went over to another kind of show that was vastly more
profitable and no one cared what the hell the booth looked like. Big
improvement. That was good enough my husband was able to kick off his
day job for a few years.
