How do you "stake" the pole booths to the ground? posted by Phoenix Tatiana on September 5, 2003 at 13:30:26: The cheapest weight down method I ever saw was tying on gallon milkjugs filled with water at the site. What works for Ohio may not work elsewhere. We have lots of grass, (when there is asphalt, its usually cracked up by freeze/thaw so you can stake into it) plenty of water, tornadoes, high winds, hail, torrential rain, floods (yes, I've had 3 feet of water rage through a booth) ... and no pretentions of looking classy. (with that sort of nonsense, maintaining a classy white booth would be as silly as wearing a wedding dress to a spaghetti slinging contest) Oh ... once my husband did lose a booth .. he was on asphalt in New Jersey, I think .... and there was an unexpected microburst prior to a storm. Flattened the sucker like an elephant landed on it. Still .... just replaced conduit and went back at it the next day.
