Been there. Quit the job. I hope I never have to sit in an officefull-time again.
On the other hand, my henna business does not generate enough income -
-- enough *consistent* income to be anything other than a "hobby"
business. It;s fun but not the meat and potatoes. And the budget
realities meant I had to find another way.
So, I now also teach for Mad Science after school programs -- which
is an independent contract job (I'm basically my own boss.) Now I
have 2 businesses that both require me to run around all over San
Diego county and I'm still mostly poor. But I'm happy (most of the
time) which is a big improvement over when I had an office job.
Next semester I hope to finish my ESL degree which will qualify me
for more part-time work teaching English to non-native speakers.
This hopefully, will provide an even more stable base from which to
juggle my henna from.
